Assembly / Subassembly

When creating large-scale assemblies in mechanical engineering design, it is recommended to divide the system into sub-assemblies before integrating them into the main assembly. For example, when designing the overall assembly of a plant, primary components such as the furnace, cooler, packaging unit, and silo should be modeled as independent sub-assemblies and brought together in the plant's main assembly at the final stage. This modular working principle enables designers to work concurrently and independently on the same project. Furthermore, it helps keep the feature tree in the computer-aided design (CAD) interface free from complexity, better organized, and with an optimum number of components.
